Abstract

The general objective of the study is to use a group of mobile robot in indoor and outdoor Reconnaissance Surveillance and Target Acquisition missions. The increased autonomy of the robots will have a direct impact on the safety level of the mission by reducing the risks for operators. This project is a national follow-on project of the EDA NM-RS project.

Aims of the study:

  • To develop indoor and outdoor autonomous capabilities of mobile robots based on advanced perception and reasoning techniques;
  • To develop cooperation algorithms in order to improve mission efficiency of multi-robot systems.

This project is funded by the Belgian Ministry of Defence
