The Nomad is our old indoor research platform and - as such - has been used for a wide range of robotic research activities, ranging from (stereo) tracking and navigation to mapping and robot control.
It is a holonomic robotic system, making it easy to control and can be equipped with a variety of sensors: infrared, ultrasound, cameras, ...
Currently, it is still in use as an educational platform to teach students robot design and electronics.
