The Tridem is a high - mobility robotic prototype for a remote control demining robot.
It is a three-wheeled robot. All wheels can turn full 360°, making it a holonomic system.
The robot is intended to be used as a demining robot and is therefore equipped with a mechanically balanced arm with a metal detector. Furthermore, its mechanical design is carefully studied such that each of the three legs does not pose enough weight on the soil to make a mine explode.
The idea for this robot is for it to be used as a "robotic dog" sensing for mpines in a minefield.
