Recently his work has evolved to include the use of&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">thermal, optical and acoustic sensors for UAS detection, and the use of free-space optical&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">communication for UAS command and control. He has worked in both national (BE MOD) and&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">international (ESA, EDA, H2020, EC) projects, and has represented the Belgian Defence in several&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit;\">NATO workgroups and measurement campaigns on the topics of C-UAS and FSOC.
