<\/p>\n

Joseph Mimassi is a researcher in the Robotics and Autonomous Systems unit of the Department of Mechanics at the Royal Military Academy of Belgium. He is actively engaged in a Belgian defense project named GRAND, focused on developing drone solutions tailored to GNSS-denied environments.<\/p>\n

Joseph earned his first master’s degree in Software Engineering from ECAM Brussels Engineering School<\/a> in Belgium. He then pursued a second master\u2019s degree in Electrical Engineering from Universit\u00e9 Laval<\/a> in Canada. During this time, he conducted his master\u2019s thesis on reinforcement learning for safety and constraint-based behaviors in robotics.<\/p>\n

Since joining the Royal Military Academy in 2024, Joseph has collaborated closely with the HADRON<\/a> and STEALTH projects, which focus on multi-agent drone coordination. In parallel, he is pursuing a PhD in a joint project with Vrije Universiteit Brussel<\/a> (VUB). His research centers on computer vision and artificial intelligence applications in robotics.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n
