Short CV:

Haris Balta was born in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on March 5, 1983. He received the Engineering degree in Information Technology from the University of Mostar in 2008. From 2008 to 2010 he attended Postgraduate studies in the field of Information Technology at the same University, passing all exams as one of the best candidates in the class. In 2012 he obtained a Postgraduate Master's degree in the field of Robotics and Intelligent Systems and was awarded with summa cum laude, from the University Federico II Naples, under coordination of Prof Bruno Siciliano.    

From 2009 to 2012 he was working as a research and teaching assistant in the Department of Information Technology of the University of Mostar. From 2006 to 2009 he was vice-chairman of the IEEE student branch at the University of Mostar.

In July 2012, he joined the Unmanned Vehicle Center of the Department of Mechanics at the Royal Military Academy (RMA) of Belgium, where he is currently employed as a researcher. At the RMA he started his Ph.D. working on collaborative and cooperative strategies for heterogeneous UAV & UGV robotic systems within the EU FP7 ICARUS and EU FP7 TIRAMISU projects.
